Products & Services > Asset Recovery

As a “one-stop shop”, we offer revolutionary services to cable and
telecom companies. Our diverse capabilities include:
decommissioning, transportation, storing equipment, inventorying,
reallocation, resale, donation to colleges/universities and recycling.
We work with you to design an asset recovery plan that fits your needs.

Resale
We can sell any excess or obsolete equipment you may have in storage
or through decommissioning. Asset recovery can generate revenue
anywhere from 1% to 40% of the original purchase price of the asset.
Some of the factors that determine the recovery value are not
controllable and include considerations like the direction of technology,
age of the equipment, etc. Other factors that will have a significant effect
on the recovery amount are the speed of getting the item to the market and the ability to find the right buyer.

Excel works on a commission basis, which keeps the process transparent and in the control of the cable/telecom company. When we find a
buyer, we notify the owner of the bid, the amount of our predetermined commission, and the final amount of revenue the cable/telecom company
will receive. The owner then approves the offer if satisfied. This prevents a vendor from buying the gear at a cheap price from the owner and
reselling it at a significant mark-up.

Recycling
We can recycle batteries and any other materials you require, such as obsolete equipment which cannot be resold. We conform to all
environmental standards, provide a complete Audit trail and offer zero landfill on all the material we recycle.

Donation
In some cases when equipment cannot be resold, we can arrange for the gear to be donated to colleges or universities with related training
programs. A charitable tax receipt is standard practice in lieu of the equipment.

Benefits of Asset Recovery

Financial gain
Direct cash flow will be generated through the sale of assets.

Indirect financial gains will be reaped through space savings, labour cost savings, depreciation expense, etc.

Space savings
Space will be freed up where the equipment was stored, while money will be saved through needing less space overall in the headends and
warehouses to house the gear.

Corporate social responsibility
A socially and environmentally ethical practice, asset recovery means companies manage their equipment more efficiently. Colleges and
universities can also benefit through the donation of its used assets, especially if the equipment cannot be sold anywhere else.

Why Outsource?

Expertise
This is our business. We know how to quickly collect, inventory and sell the equipment in order to produce the most revenue. Our employees
have demonstrated this ability. We can get your network inventory managed quickly increasing your revenue and decreasing your costs. We
know the market and buyers, including both cable companies and resellers.

More revenue
By selling this equipment on consignment, we provide companies with 60-70% of the final sale price versus 20% or less if sold to a dealer. With no
upfront costs, companies can only gain from asset recovery services. Finally, since we sell by commission, we are motivated to get you the best
possible price.

Time and service
Because we take care of the collection, inventorying and reallocation of equipment, there is a significant reduction in the amount of employee
time that is required to generate revenue on the sale of obsolete assets. In fact, with a phone call or email, our services are employed, meaning a
much higher likelihood that the obsolete assets will be resold rather than being put in a corner, lost or thrown in the garbage.

Immediate response
We can implement this process immediately and sell available equipment quickly. Keeping on top of the process means higher revenue and an
up-to-date inventory.
